This Land Project
This Land Project (TLP) is a research and design initiative focused on understanding how land and home are shaped through policy, finance, design, and lived experience. Developed in partnership with Vesi, TLP examines how land systems operate in everyday life. Through place based research, public engagement, and applied analysis, the platform documents how past and present land practices shape access to home, wealth, and opportunity. This research informs concepts and pilot projects that explore purpose-driven approaches.
TLP also functions as an incubation platform. The work moves beyond critique and theory. It focuses on developing and testing real projects with practitioners, residents, and institutional partners. These efforts generate evidence, lessons, and frameworks that can be adapted across locations. Each pilot is documented as living research. Together, they contribute to a growing body of knowledge on democratic land and home practices.
Through sustained research and engagement, and in partnership with Vesi, This Land Project advances a clearer understanding of how land and home can be stewarded over time. The work supports equity, resilience, and democratic values.
